Top 2018 Spring Instagram Posts

I think the key to Instagram is to post things that are not only visually appealing, but also timely and fun. Current, relatable, and eye-catching content allows a post to really stand out in a feed full of photos and videos, and these top performing posts show just how much of an impact that type of content has. A dog and a celebrity can never hurt, either.

We’re starting off by remembering an exciting day for UConn, the official announcement of our new men’s basketball coach, Dan Hurley. UConn Nation gets pretty excited about our basketball teams, and the results of this post show no different.

It seems our audiences can’t get enough of Jonathan welcoming our admitted students! The welcome video is the only piece of content that’s in the top 5 posts for every platform. While it didn’t get quite as many views as it did on Facebook, it received more than double the views on Instagram than it did on Twitter.

Coming in strong at number 1 is that great picture of Kobe Bryant supporting the Huskies. While it received a good amount of engagements on Twitter, it completely outperformed every other post on Instagram, receiving over 8,500 likes. It’s definitely the most likes we’ve received on a post this semester, and it very well might be our most liked Instagram of all-time. Even last semester’s highest performing post, at 6,222 likes, didn’t come close to this one. Can we break the record next semester? Time will tell.
