Everyone loves dogs.
And everyone loves Jonathan (we might be biased).
So, for our annual Holiday Card video, we jumped at the chance to use our live mascot in a video. Jonathan sat in various locations around campus with mistletoe tethered above him waiting for unsuspecting students/faculty/staff to walk by and partake in an age-old tradition.

The video had everything: feel-good vibes, joy, a holiday feel, and a dog spreading holiday cheer. We knew it would play well among our audiences, but we did not expect it to go viral.

We tapped into the crossposting feature in Facebook and had our Athletic and Alumni departments share the video organically, and on Twitter, nearly every school/college on campus shared the video in some fashion.
Whether it was the aesthetics or the timing of the post, we can’t quite nail down what triggered this video to wildly spread across the internet, but we’ll take it.
