When creating a Snapchat strategy, we knew student-led content was going to be the backbone to success, which is why we made it a priority to have a student take over our account at least once a week. That #TakeoverTuesday strategy quickly took off, and before long, we had UConn alums reaching out and asking to take over our account to spotlight how UConn had helped them land their current position. Enter our #JobEnvy series.
Our first #JobEnvy segment was brought to us by UConn alum Adam Cilley who currently works at Mystic Aquarium as their Social Media & Analytics Manager. He took us behind the scenes of what it was like to be the voice of the Aquarium and even had a sea lion give a shoutout to UConn alum and MLB World Series MVP George Springer.
It was a good opportunity to let our followers ask Adam questions regarding his job, how he got to his current position, and what he was involved in while at UConn.
With the first #JobEnvy being as successful as it was, we went on to spotlight alumni from all over, including YouTube, NBC Sports during Olympic Coverage, Cigna employees, among others.
